“Life is Better When You Dance!”
“What’s In Store!”
After a successful 1st event in April 2018, and many requests to repeat the event, we are now ready to take bookings for Crystal Fleur 2nd 2019. We are staying with the original winning formula from the 1st event, but with some tweaks here and there to improve the whole experience. Our aim however will always be the same – fun and enjoyment with workshops carefully selected to provide a wide range of styles for you to try. Each teacher will not only deliver a fun and memorable workshop but will help build your confidence to simply – dance! (see below) The “Tournament” is aimed at the everyday dancer and is about personal growth. With spectator votes being key and categories designed to spark the imagination this section will be filled with laughter and enjoyment. The “Championship” is all about development and progression. With set criteria to dance to, this section relies purely upon judge’s votes. (see schedule). Our judges will also be providing feedback, if required, for all entrants; a very popular and beneficial part of the competition section. But if all this isn’t enough for you then why not finish off the day at the party night where there will be professional performances and social dancing galore! And back again by popular demand, we have the brilliant Saiidi Beats run by Mark Carlyon providing live music.

Saiidi Beats is an Arabic style drumming ensemble, based in Nottingham, taught and led by Mark Carlyon. Mark has 8 years experience drumming with The Nomads and with Hossam Ramzy. The Saiidi Beats drummers range from beginners to advanced but everyone is encouraged to join in and take part in performances. The group regularly perform at haflas and shows, playing a mixture of covers as well as their own creations. They play for both Egyptian and Tribal style dancers and love to finish their performances with a jamming session for everyone to join in and play or dance!
